Why this template

Review teams compare your policy against your Data safety / privacy label declarations — mismatches get apps rejected. Because this template asks for the same facts in the same shape, your policy and your store forms tell the same story by construction.

Standard sections app reviewers expect are baked in: GDPR/CCPA rights, children's privacy, data retention, security, and changes-to-this-policy. Sections you leave empty disappear and the numbering renumbers itself.

One honest note: this is a template, not legal advice. It covers what stores check for a typical indie app — if you handle sensitive data or operate in regulated markets, have counsel review it.
